When the world famous Playboy announced the launch of its clubs in India last month, the million dollar question was: What they are going to do with regard to the costume of Playboy bunny?
The answer of this question was given at a press conference in Mumbai. The popular corset has been modified with an allusion to sari in combination with a translucent ankle-length skirt.
But there was no modification on other trademark paraphernalia such as the ears, bow tie and tail.
“We plan to have eight clubs in four years and 49 bars in seven years,” pointed out Sanjay Gupta, chief executive, PB Lifestyle.
PB Lifestyle, which is going to pay a royalty to Playboy, has targeted an investment in the vicinity of Rs 200 crore over the course of next seven years.
“With our various formats, we are looking at all kinds of target audience,” said Gupta.
But those of you who are interested in seeing Indian women in the bunny costume have to wait for a bit longer as for now all the bunnies will be from other countries.
